Obtaining a Real Estate License:

The state of Ohio requires:

Honest, truthful and of good reputation
18 years of age with a high school degree or GED
Completed 120 hours of approved pre-licensing real estate courses
Sponsorship by an Ohio Broker
Successfully complete the Ohio real estate examination
Complete 30-hours of approved real estate continuing education courses every 3 years before date of birth

The state of West Virginia requires:

18 years of age with a high school degree or GED
Completed 90 hours of approved pre-licensing real estate courses completed within a 5 year period
Successfully complete the West Virginia Estate examination
Complete the 16-hours of approved Real Estate continuing education courses
Renewal every 2 years by the end of the month in which their license was received
30 hours of approved real estate post license courses within first 2 years after license is issued
